Terry (Gator) Wilson: Celebration of Life
View the photo gallery -> here!
My very good friend passed away on June 4, 2024 as the result of a heart attack while scuba diving on June 2, 2024.
63 years old and still doing crazy stuff like scuba diving! Wow! He lived his life to the fullest, every day.
I loved him for that.
Which is the reason I feel it necessary to celebrate his life. He was one of the best friends I ever had.
He had faults, as we all do, but he had a heart of gold, and that is what I'm hoping everyone who reads this page
agrees with. I also hope anyone who reads this page decides to take some time out of their lives to come and celebrate the
fact that they are/were a friend of his.
Please join myself and as many friends as possible on June 22, 2024 from 1-6pm to celebrate the life of a man who was a part of, and probably changed, many of our lives. His immediate family will be having a corresponding Celebration of Life with his parents and sisters, in BC, at the same time. I like to look at it as though he is being celebrated across the entire country at once! The Ontario celebration, therefore, will be friends and acquaintances only...
There will be cover in the form of a large tent, in case it's very hot or very wet, and there will also be facilities available.
A free BBQ will be provided (tentatively beef, venison, pork and fish), but you will have to bring your own refreshments and chairs. There will be a full sound system available for music and for anyone who wishes to share their past positive experiences with, or about, Terry.
So, tentatively, from 1-2:30pm will be a "Meet and Greet". Anyone is welcome to arrive and meet with more of Terry's friends. I'm sure you'll know most, but
there may be a few new faces...
After 2:30pm, we will open the microphone to anyone who wishes to share stories with the rest of us. If you'd like to prepare something, please feel free,
or you can ad-lib. We'll all be fine with it, either way.
By 4pm, the bbqs will be in full operation. We have a big selection of meats and fish, and will also have several different salads available, so don't eat
until you get to sample some of the fare on site!
Last, but not least, if you wish, there will be a donation box on site. Terry wasn't a flower guy, so don't do that. However, all donations received will be sent to Ottawa Civic Hospital. The staff there did their utmost to help Terry in his time of need, and were so very supportive to all of us who spent time with him at the end. The hospital deserves anything we can send.
